Playing for time
I’m a hockey fan. I’m a Pittsburgh Penguins fan. I’ve been a little busy lately, what with life and work and hockey games. Late nights, long days, lots of driving, little sleeping, a lingering illness. It’s been kind of crazy.
I’m hoping for a break soon. But I’m also wondering how I’ll deal with having time on my hands. The Penguins won the Stanley Cup last night. No more hockey for months. Construction at the library is (pretty much) done. Our reopening week will be done in a few days. Life will get back to whatever this new sense of “normal” will be.
Perhaps it’s odd to worry about not having anything to do. Perhaps I’ll be able to get to all the things I have had simmering on the back burner. Maybe I’ll even get myself a new puppy. Or read a book. Or write a book. Possibilities are out there.
What are you up to?
